THERE BACCCCCCCK!
Aramis Ramirez and Reed Johnson are back!!!!! THEY’RE BACK THEY’RE BACK!!!!!!

We need them more than ever!
The Cubs are playing Atlanta right now as they win 4-2 in the TOP 7th. Randy Wells pitched a great game. They’re taking him out and putting in Sean Marshall. He had an RBI single, as well as Fontenot. Then Derrek Lee got a 2 run homer.

11-2 Loss Sparks Disappointment
11-2 loss against the Brewers was not something I expected. Rich Harden had his roughest outting of the season, giving up 7 runs in 2 1/3 innings. He was getting rocked hard this game. Then to top it all off, we left 7 runners in scoring position. Bases were loaded twice, and we got caught in 2 double play balls. Soriano got moved down to the 6th spot while Fukudome is leadoff. I dont like that idea AT ALL. I hated that batting lineup today. Piniella has a lot to think about for tomorrow’s game, because sorry, that was EXTREMELY disappointing and probably one of the hardest games to watch.

He needs a new game plan. The sparks arent flying the 1st inning. They try to “CLUTCH” everything, and that doesnt always work like that. Especially when the other team lights a fire the 1st inning and scores 5 runs to get way ahead of the game.
10th Inning Bases Loaded Walk SEALS Win
The Cubs did it again in extra innings. Theriot started it off with a single, then 3 walks later, scored. Jake Fox was up with the bases loaded, he kept the count at 3-2, as he fouled off multiple times, then later got the 4th ball to seal the W. Carlos Zambrano also had an RBI hit. The score was 2-1.
Fukudome made a game saving play with 2 outs. Prince Fielder had a single to CF, and runner was heading for home, Fuku threw out the runner on a one bouncer to Hill. Game saving play of the day folks.
Let’s hope the Cubs can pull out another W today as they take on the Brewers in the 3rd game of a 4 game series.

DeRosa = Cardinal!!??! NO. NO. NO. NO!!!!!!!!

The most blunt response to the St. Louis Cardinals acquiring former Cub Mark DeRosa came from current Cubs shortstop Ryan Theriot.
“It (stinks),” Theriot said Sunday.
The Cleveland Indians traded DeRosa to the Cubs’ National League Central rivals Saturday night for reliever Chris Perez and a player to be named.
“I didn’t think we were going to get him anyway,” Theriot said. “He’s going to the Cardinals. What do you want me to say? It’s good? I’m glad? I’m happy for him? He’s going a division contender. Yeah, I’m excited about that. No.
“I know what type of player he is and what he brings to a ballclub. Obviously, I don’t want to see him in our division, much less a team like the Cardinals. He’ll help them. He’ll help them tremendously.”
– As said in the Daily Herald.
HE SHOULD BE WITH THE CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:[
Cubs Seal Victory in Game 1 VS White Sox
Jake Fox and Geovany Soto pulled together all 5 of the Cub’s RBI’s today with the win over the White Sox. Fox had a 2 run homerun and Soto had a 3 run homer.
Randy Wells pitched a great game today earning the win. Carlos Marmol had a rough outing getting pulled after bases were loaded in the BOT 8th score 5-4. Sean Marshall came in and pitched a curve ball to A.J.Pierzynski who grounded out to Derrek Lee who threw home to Soto, then back to first to get the double play. Kevin Gregg came in to close for our Cubs, and shockingly didnt blow the lead, OR the game!

In other news: I found an article from CSN Chicago about Milton Bradley. Here it is:

Milton Bradley left U.S. Cellular Field in street clothes after having a confrontation with Lou Piniella after his final at-bat in the sixth inning.
After the game, Piniella said it was time because he had ‘seen enough’ and that the two had an argument and he told him to take his jersey off. He also said that he would put Bradley’s name in the lineup Saturday.
Bradley and Piniella exchanged words in the tunnel leading to the clubhouse after his at-bat. Bradley threw his helmet down after flying out and Piniella followed him to the tunnel, where the two had an argument.
Bradley was replaced by Ryan Freel in right.
That cant be good.
WOW. KEVIN. GREGG. IS. AWFUL.
Kevin Gregg BLEW IT.

Terrible.
Cubs VS Braves: Pre- Game

Ryan Dempster VS Javier Vazquez
Lou Pinella is probably going to give some of the starters a rest today as the Cubs take on the Braves. Ryan Theriot will most likely be rested as Andres Blanco will most likely play short, and Micah Hoffpauir and Jake Fox will get in too. This rest will be a good thing for the starters who have been working hard these last 4 games. Hopefully the Cubs can keep the win streak going.
Week filled with; Grins, Wins and Battles Within!
Cant get enough of the Cubs. They are on a 4 game winning streak with a split of the series with the Sox and a 3 Game Series SWEEP against the Cleveland Indians. 3 of which are comebacks and clutches. Derrek Lee is on an 18 game hitting streak, Wells got his first W, and Kevin Gregg didnt blow a save!

Our grounds crew did an amazing job getting the field playable and dry. I must say, we have probably the best grounds crew in the history of grounds crews in Wrigley. They definitely know how to take on Chicago weather.
Just seeing A.J. P of the Sox walking away in shame is priceless as it is. This hug is probably one of the most chilling moments EVER captured. It gives me goosebumps just looking at this picture. Know that the Cubs can make a comeback in the 2nd to last inning is pretty amazing. One of the best comebacks in Cub History. Grins.
How bout’ a round of applause? Standin’ ovation? But you put on quite a show, really had me goin’, now it’s time to go, curtain’s finally closin’!
Wins.

This Theriot picture is sweet! No no, cross that. It’s EPIC.

Soriano was having a tough outing recently. His batting has been pretty ugly the last couple of games. Pinella had thoughts about moving him out of the leadoff spot, but decided against it. He came in clutch for us as he drove in the winning run with a bloop right field single to win the Sox game 6-5. A grin, win AND battle within if I do say so myself.

Life is Good.
Happy Father’s Day! Cubs SWEEP the Indians!
Happy Father’s Day to all the MLB players who are fathers and daddy’s!
Cubs are up 2-0 in the 4th inning by Geovany Soto’s solo homerun and Jake Fox’s sac fly to DeRosa to score Theriot. Soto walks in the 5th and another run scores to make it 4-0.

Randy Wells is pitching a very good game today. In 5 innings so far, he has only allowed 2 hits. He also got a single in the 5th. Wells scores on Derrek Lee’s bases loaded single! Wells gets pulled at the TOP 7th with 2 outs and man on 1st and 3rd. He did a very good job today limiting the Indians to 1 run.

Derrek Lee has been on FIRE this series. Before this game, he was batting 5 for 10 with 3 homeruns and 4 runs scored! He just had a bases loaded single!

Jake FOX GETS a 2 run DOUBLE!! JUST missed a grand slam by 10 feet!! 6-0 CUBS in the 5th!!! Fox ended up with 3 RBI’s!

CUBS WIN! Nice play by Andres Blanco!!
We’re singin’ GO Cubs GO, GO CUBS GO, Hey Chicago Whatta ya say? Cubs are gonna win today. Go Cubs go, GO CUBS GOO! Hey Chicago Whatta ya say? The CUBS GET THE SWEEP TODAY!!!
