11-2 Loss Sparks Disappointment
11-2 loss against the Brewers was not something I expected. Rich Harden had his roughest outting of the season, giving up 7 runs in 2 1/3 innings. He was getting rocked hard this game. Then to top it all off, we left 7 runners in scoring position. Bases were loaded twice, and we got caught in 2 double play balls. Soriano got moved down to the 6th spot while Fukudome is leadoff. I dont like that idea AT ALL. I hated that batting lineup today. Piniella has a lot to think about for tomorrow’s game, because sorry, that was EXTREMELY disappointing and probably one of the hardest games to watch.
He needs a new game plan. The sparks arent flying the 1st inning. They try to “CLUTCH” everything, and that doesnt always work like that. Especially when the other team lights a fire the 1st inning and scores 5 runs to get way ahead of the game.

- UGH. That was a close one. It shouldve been an easy double play ball, they get Soriano out at 2, but a bad throw and Theriot is safe at 1st. One out.

- Wow. LONG 3-2 count. 13 pitches to be exact… But Harden gets the K. 4 strikeouts for Harden.

- Bases loaded… Rich walks another. 2 outs, come on Rich get out of this inning…

- The Cubs came back from a 9-1 game and ended up winning in the bottom of the 9th. LETS START THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Cubs Blow It In 9th Against Brewers
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated.
- Rich Harden got the start and struck out 10
- Koyie Hill had a 2 run homer with Theriot on base to make the lead 3-2 in the 6th!
- Milton Bradley had a solo homerun as well.
- and the Cubs blow it at the BOT 9th with a play at home, and he’s safe…. damnit. And so it begins….. what an ******* to throw his helmet…
All Is Silent On the Chicago Front
Wow. Giving up 17 runs in 2 games is pretty poopy. Especially during the 2nd game, only 3 of those runs were earned. Too many errors have been made, The Cubs are getting nervous. No matter what way you put it, they’re nervous and scared and they seem like they’re just happy that they’ve made it this far. Well, they have to aim a little higher. The Dodgers arent an AMAZING team, they are beatable. EVERY team is beatable. That’s what I dont understand.
Demp and Big Z are AMAZING pitchers, but the defense didnt back them up. Demp threw way too many balls and walked way too much. Big Z was pitching great, but with Theriot accidently trying to barehand a ball that he couldve used his mitt for, DeRo misreading a grounder, D-Lee losing the ball on a wierd hop, and A-Ram not picking up the grounder clean, yeah you’re gonna lose.
That’s why we need our offense!! We have no offense!!! The bats have been really dead. DeRo had a 2 run homer, and the only 2 RBI’S in Game 1. Then I turned off the 2nd game because it was seriously disappointing. They ended up losing 10-3. At least they got SOME RUNS.
Well, the Sox fans have been quiet as well. They’re just like the Cubs. 0-2 in their series. At least if they both lose, we can talk about who sucked more. But I dont want that to happen. I want the Cubs to redeem themselves, and open a can of woop-*** on the Dodgers. I believe that they can make a comeback. They just need to believe in theirselves. And they need to wake up their bats, their defense, and most of all, they need to wake themselves up.
The Cubs are going AWAY losing 0-2 in a series. So I think that might help them a little bit… because if they lose, they dont have their own fans on them like dip on a chip. Whereas the Sox are coming home for the rest of the series. If they lose at home, their fans are gonna be p.oed. They better watch themselves if they lose. But that’s the fielding situations… and how I see it.
Game 3 is at Dodger Stadium. 9:07 CDT. Harden and Kuroda face off. This is the Cubs make it or break it moment.
It’s your turn Harden. Go out there and show them what you got.
Hoffpauir Showed His Stuff: BUT Bullpen? Not So Much. Cubs Lose.
Well the Cubs last game of their regular season.. Hopefully they’ll end it with a big W. Rich Harden is pitching today.. and I just found out that Ryan Dempster is pitching for Game 1 of the NLDS (if you didnt know).
- TOP 1st- Micah Hoffpauir gets a SOLO HOMERUN! 1-0!!! Casey McGehee singles scoring Edmonds!! 2-0!! Start scoring early!!! Woo!
- BOT 1st- Ryan Theriot bobbles it… gets the out at 1st. Mets get one back… 2-1 Cubs.
- BOT 2nd- Koyie Hill makes a PERFECT throw to 2nd, Fontenot gets the runner out.
- TOP 3rd- Theriot walks. Hoffpauir hits one over Beltran!!!!! Ryan Theriot scores! 3-1. NICE HIT HOFFPAUIR!! A double for Hoffpauir.
- TOP 4th- Holy COW! Harden is FAST. He reaches 1st. NICE HUSTLE!
- BOT 4th- Basehit past Hoffpauir scores 2 RBI’s… tying the game. 3-3. SHOOT!
- TOP 5th- And here comes the rain!!!!!! BRING ON THE THUNDER!

Howry REALLY stinks… he cant keep a lead, and he blows it. Good job Howry…. Better not do that in the NLDS… you’ll get booed out of the stadium…. ugh. seriously?

Harden didnt pitch his best stuff today.. Even though he did get out of a pickle the 1st inning.. he walked way too many in the 1st.
Ramirez and Edmonds had 1 solo homerun each. Then with 3 back to back to back hits, Geovany Soto SMACKED a 3 run homer to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th. Thank goodness! They made a BIG comeback.
Wood was caught in a pickle but got out of it! Ramirez got Hardy in a run down at 3rd, getting him out. and Theriot makes a nice play at SS to get the 3rd out, not having anyone score in the top of the 12th.
The game is still going on now in the bottom of the 12th.. Ward is up with 0 outs.. He walks. 0 outs man on 1st. Reed Johnson is up. I think we should end this.. NOW.
